Clinical Imaging Meets Intelligent Backup
The Problem
Healthcare practices generate thousands of DICOM files from X-rays, CT scans, MRIs, and ultrasounds. These files are backed up for regulatory compliance — but the backup itself provides no clinical value. Practitioners must switch to expensive, separate PACS or viewer software to review images. Small clinics and specialty practices often lack budget for dedicated PACS, leaving critical imaging inaccessible.
The Solution
AI Lens Medical transforms BigMind backup into a clinical imaging workspace. Every DICOM file backed up becomes instantly viewable, measurable, and AI-analyzable — directly in the browser. No separate software, no additional infrastructure, no per-study fees.
One platform, two roles: BigMind backs up and protects your imaging data while AI Lens Medical turns it into a clinical review tool. Pay for one platform instead of two.
Clinical DICOM Viewer
Built on Cornerstone3D (WebGL2-accelerated), the viewer delivers clinical-quality rendering directly in the browser with no plugins or downloads required.

Viewing Capabilities
| Feature | Description |
|---|---|
| Window Presets | 8 clinical presets: Auto, Bone, Lung, Brain, Abdomen, Soft Tissue, Liver, Mediastinum |
| Series Navigation | Scroll through 300+ slices with mouse wheel; instant slice loading |
| Multi-Viewport | 1×1, 1×2, 2×2 layouts with independent series per viewport |
| Viewport Sync | Synchronized scroll and window/level across all viewports |
| CINE Playback | Animate through series at 5, 10, or 24 fps (cardiac, dynamic studies) |
| Prior Comparison | Side-by-side prior study display with synchronized navigation |
| Fullscreen | Distraction-free viewing mode |
Measurement & Annotation Tools
Six clinical measurement tools with persistent annotations saved to the database — measurements are preserved across sessions and available to all authorized users.

| Tool | Key | Output | Clinical Use |
|---|---|---|---|
| Length | L | Distance in mm | Lesion sizing, organ dimensions |
| Angle | A | Degrees | Joint angles, Cobb angle assessment |
| Probe | P | Point value (HU) | CT density analysis, tissue characterization |
| Elliptical ROI | E | Mean, Std Dev, Min, Max | Region statistics, density mapping |
| Bidirectional | B | 2 perpendicular lengths | RECIST tumor response measurement |
| Arrow Annotate | — | Text label | Finding markers, teaching annotations |
AI-Powered Consultation
Capture any viewport and submit it for AI analysis. The system returns structured findings with severity ratings (Normal / Mild / Moderate / Severe), confidence scores, and actionable recommendations. Results can be auto-applied as clinical tags and included in reports.

Consultation Features
- Structured findings with severity classification
- Per-finding confidence scores
- One-click auto-tagging from AI suggestions
- Clean capture mode (excludes measurement overlays)
- Follow-up questions for deeper analysis
- Formatted output with headings, lists, and emphasis
Report Generation
Generate professional PDF or HTML reports containing patient demographics, key image thumbnails, measurement tables with slice references, AI findings, clinical tags, and file comments. Reports automatically use partner branding (organization name and brand color).
Patient Organization
DICOM metadata is automatically parsed to identify patients. Each patient gets a dedicated entity page showing all their imaging studies organized in a hierarchical structure: Patient → Studies → Series → Files. The system supports prior study comparison with synchronized navigation for tracking changes over time.
Statistics Dashboard
A dedicated analytics view shows total DICOM files, studies, patients, and AI-analyzed images. Interactive charts display modality distribution (CT, MRI, X-ray, etc.) and body part distribution. A recent studies table and processing queue status provide operational visibility.
