How you found us (enquiry attribution)
When you arrive on our website we can record how you got here: the page you landed on, the website that referred you, any campaign tags in the link (such as utm_source or utm_campaign), any ad click identifier from Google (gclid), Meta (fbclid), LinkedIn (li_fat_id) or OpenAI (oppref or click_id), and the date. This is kept in your browser in a first-party cookie, g9_attr, and a browser-storage entry, g9_attribution, for 90 days. It is set only if you allow marketing cookies: in the UK and the European Economic Area only after you accept them in the cookie banner, elsewhere unless you choose essential cookies only. If you later choose essential cookies only, it is removed.
Like any cookie, your browser sends it back to our website with each page request, but we read and store it only when you choose to send us an enquiry (for example a contact, demo or quote form, or a newsletter sign-up). It is then stored with your enquiry and in our customer-relationship management system, so we know which campaign brought it. We use it to measure our own marketing; we do not share it with advertising networks or use it to track you on other websites.
