1. Why do you need a credit card for your free trial?

When you sign up for Genie Online Backup's free trial, we require that you enter
your credit card details to complete the process. Once your trial period has ended,
your subscription will be automatically renewed so you can take advantage of this
service without interruption. Your 30-day trial is free of charge. You can, at any
time, cancel your subscription during the trial period.

2. What is the procedure when my trial period ends?
|
After your 30-day trial period, if you have not cancelled your subscription, you
will automatically be charged using the credit card information you furnished us
during your initial sign-up for the trial of Genie Online Backup.
|
|
|
3. I am having problems logging into my Genie Online account.
How do I request my password?
|
|
In cases where you haven forgotten your password, you can click on the 'Forgot Password'
link on the main Genie Online Login page. Type in the e-mail address associated
with your account in the text box and click “Send”. Check your e-mail
client’s inbox and follow the steps provided in the e-mail sent to you.

4. How do I manage my Genie Online Backup account profile?
|
|
You can access your Online account profile by logging in to your account using Genie Online Web. You
will need to login using Genie
Online Web whenever you want to view or change your account profile, including
your login settings, updating your password, and editing the time for your session
to timeout. In an admin account, you can also allocate space for your account through
here. You can access your account profile by clicking on 'Edit Profile' from the
menu pane on the top-hand side of the page.

5. What is Genie Online Backup Manager client?
|
|
Genie Online Backup Manager client is a Windows application that allows you to access
your Genie Online Backup account from Windows. You can download files as well as
create backup jobs. With the Genie Online Backup Manager client, you can backup
as many files with no limits. Here, you can also restore data uploaded in 'My Vault'
using the Restore Wizard.

6. How can I suspend a user?
|
To suspend a user go to Manage Users > select a user > click on the “Activate/Suspend”
button
Note: Suspending a user can only be done when the user is logged in an Administrator
account.

7. How can I purchase more space?
|
To purchase more space you need to upgrade your plan from the Plans page.

8. How can I change my password?
|
|
Using the 'Edit Profile' feature, you can simply change your user profile along
with your password.
|
|
|
9. How can I backup using the backup type/method, Increment,
Mirror, or Differential?
|
|
You can change the backup type you are using through the Genie Online Backup Manager
client, when running the backup job you can change the settings of your job from
the “Settings” page.
|
|
|
10. How can I add users?
|
To add a user go to Manage Users > New User
Note: Adding a user can only be done when the user is logged in an Administrator
account
